About Our Club

Three of the biggest and most successful soccer organizations in Rankin County have come together through a partnership to increase the soccer experience for players in Central MS.

Why has Rankin Soccer Club been created?

Rankin Soccer Club has been created in order to provide the best experience for the players in Central MS. This will allow greater opportunities for our players, families, and coaches. It will ensure more players continue playing soccer and ensure development at a much higher rate.

Is this an acquisition, a merger?

Our three clubs are coming together through a merger and creation of a new entity. One club is not acquiring another and three clubs are being integrated to become a single entity from a structural, operational, and cultural point of view in the 2009 – 2014 age groups. Our 2004 – 2008 age groups will be a part of the MS Rush United Program.

How will this impact the recreational programs:

All recreational programs will keep their respective community based name, identity, brand, and cultures.  This merger will allow us to work closer with one another to improve programming, scheduling, organization, development, and fun!

How will teams be split/labeled?

From the U9 to U11 age groups we will strive to have at least one team in each location. Rankin Soccer Club – Brandon, Rankin Soccer Club – Florence, Rankin Soccer Club – Pearl. This will minimize travel for players at younger ages for training sessions to help keep more players playing.  At U12 we will look to merge the teams into Rankin Soccer Club Premier, Rankin Soccer Club Elite, and Rankin Soccer Club Select.

By working together, we will have the ability to put teams together if numbers require that at the younger ages.

What does this mean for current players from Florence and Pearl that play for a BFC team in the U9 - U11 age group?

We will not disband teams or pull players off of teams that are currently already playing at BFC. We will take each situation case by case if a player wants to play in their local city. We plan to make the decisions that are best for each team and player.

When will this take place?

This merger will take place for the Fall of 2022. Tryouts for Rankin Soccer Club will take place this May.  You can find the dates of tryouts on our website and social media handles.

Where will these teams train?

Our location based teams will train in their respective cities.  For any merged teams, training will be decided based off the coach and dynamic of the team to help with travel and make it as convenient as possible for everyone involved.

How many times will these teams train?

Teams will train a minimum of 3 times per week. There will be two sessions with their team coach.  A third session will be held on Wednesday nights for all locations at Shiloh Park, called Small Sided Nights. Small sided nights will be an hour of playing 3v3 or 4v4 with other players of the same talent/skill level.  We use this to maximize the amount of decisions players make on the ball in a night.  These nights will be ran by our Assistant Director of Soccer, Ousmane Coulibaly, and other RSC staff coaches.

How is this incorporated with Mississippi Rush United?

At U15, players will merge with our other partnered clubs, MS Rush and MS Brilla to go into the MS Rush United organization.  If you would like to know more about MS Rush United you can  follow the link below.

How will leadership work in the club?

Each Club will be equally presented newly formed RSC Board. Coaching staffs will also consist of coaches from each previous individual club.

Who will coach the RSC Teams?

Each team will have a licensed coach that is best fit for the age group and gender. All staffing decisions will be made by the Rankin Soccer Club Directors. Coaching Assignments will be released 4/15.

What will be the cost of Rankin Soccer Club?

U9: $145 per moth – 10 month cycle

U10-U14: $165 per month – 10 month cycle

These fees include all tournament/league fees, coaching fees, administration fees, programming, etc.

Financial assistance is available on a needs basis.

What uniforms will RSC teams wear? What will the club colors be?

For the 2022 – 2023 season current we will use the current BFC kit with a new Rankin Soccer Club logo added on to finish the 2 year jersey cycle.  Newly formed teams will get a discounted rate on these kits.

In Fall 2023 we will roll out new under armor kits with our club colors – red, white, and gold.
